Proper Beer Presentation:
Elements of a perfect Beer
- A frothy head measuring between 3/4 to 1 inch.
- A beer clean glass will hold the head of your beer throughout the pint.
- A beer clean glass will develop rings of Belgian lace on the inside after each sip.
- Clean Beer lines are of the utmost importance, as dirty lines will cause off flavors in the beer.
Things to Avoid
- Frozen glassware will cause the beer to become agitated and money will be poured down the drain.
- Frozen glasses will render the beer too cold to taste. Try it yourself, put a bottle of Eliot Ness into an iced bucket.
Next, put the other beer in the refrigerator. Pour the iced down beer into a frozen glass,
then pour the refrigerated beer into a room temperature glass. You will notice there is much more flavor drinking out of a room temperature glass versus a frozen glass.
- Beer glasses should not be used to serve any milk or dairy drinks because the residue from dairy will make it nearly impossible to develop a head on a beer.
It takes about 9 runs through the dish machine to remove this residue.
